Ditch The Dirt: Three Powerful Facial Treatments That Give You Flawless Skin

If all you want for Christmas is clearer and softer skin, save your money by using ingredients that you probably already have in your kitchen. Maybe store-bought cleaners are too harsh on your skin and don't use natural ingredients. However, hiding in your refrigerator and cupboards are natural skin-edifying products that will give you clearer and healthier skin in no time at all.

Apple Cider Vinegar

When it comes to jobs around the house, apple cider vinegar is usual for everything, including skin health. Throughout the course of a normal day, your skin attracts and retains dirt, dust and grim that turns into harmful bacteria. Apple cider vinegar is great at killing off all of this bacteria that causes your skin to look oily and dirty. This simple ingredient also helps to balance out the natural pH that your skin has so that it is harder for acne to develop. On top of all of these amazing benefits, apple cider vinegar is also a toner to help lower levels of oil on your skin.

You can apply the apple cider vinegar to your face using a cotton ball or soft wash cloth. In some cases, the apple cider vinegar may work a little too well in ridding your face of excess oils and it will dry your skin out. You can apply a little of your daily moisturizer to counteract this if it should happen.

Papaya

Papaya isn't only great to eat, it also have many health benefits for your skin. Papaya is actually an ingredient in many of the skin cleansers that are on the market today because it makes it almost impossible for bacteria to build up on your face. This fruit is also great when trying to remove dead skin. Like the apple cider vinegar, it can level out the amount of oil that attaches to your face without causing your skin to dry out. Papaya is also full of papain, which is a vitamin that can help reduce swelling or inflammation.

You can make your own facial mask with papaya by mashing one in a bowl and applying it to the surface of your face for fifteen minutes. It is also safe enough to use three to four times a week.

Oranges

Oranges are great to use on your skin if you are looking for long-lasting results. The citric acid and vitamin C that are naturally found in oranges will strip away bacteria, dirt, and oils from your skin. Oranges are also a great natural toner so the possibility of having an acne breakout is significantly reduced. As if these aren't enough reasons to switch to using oranges for your skin needs, the vitamin C in this fruit (if you eat it) will help in the production of healthier skin cells, meaning that your face will start to become and look naturally brighter.

You can make your own facial mask with oranges too. All you need to do is grind a few orange peels in water to create a paste and apply it to your face for about fifteen to twenty minutes before rinsing it off completely.

No one should have to deal with acne, especially if there are several natural ingredients that can help. Using one of the three natural and simple ingredients listed above, you will be on your way to healthier and more beautiful-looking skin.
